Societies and Clubs
Societies and Clubs are organizations operated by students for students at a university, whose aim is to promote the interests of a particular group of people through a series of events including debating, role-play, gaming, sporting activities, and performing arts.
University Clubs promote the participation of interested students in a particular sport while encouraging wellness, physical fitness and social fellowship. On the other hand, Societies exist to meet the extracurricular needs of students who share a particular interest in or appreciation for culture, the arts or an academic field in which they wish to broaden proficiency (e.g., Mathematics Society). In addition taking responsibility for managing a student organization empower people to develop leadership, organizational, communication and basic accounting skills that are regarded as essential by employers. In order to set a club or society up, you need to have a support of at least 10 students who share your interest, their signatures, and dues, and to fill in the application form in which you present the idea, activities of the club or society, form for financial claims.
