Short Project Description:
The Research Universities (Res-Uni) project aims to strengthen the capacities of higher education institutions in the Western Balkans by fostering knowledge and skill development in the fields of digital transformation, big data, and data management systems. The overarching objective is to enhance institutional alignment with EU standards and support the transformation of participating institutions into modern research universities.
Through carefully planned activities, the project seeks to build institutional and human capacities, modernize courses, and implement innovative digital tools in both academic and administrative contexts. Key project activities include the organization of specialized training sessions for academic and administrative staff, as well as the development of new training sessions for students and university personnel. This will serve as innovation hubs for promoting the application of digital knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and public institutions.
The Res-Uni project also promotes cross-border collaboration and policy alignment in the region, encouraging universities to adopt EU-quality educational standards and modern governance structures.
By supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering a culture of research, innovation, and lifelong learning, the Res-Uni project contributes to the strategic transformation of the higher education sector in the Western Balkans. It empowers universities to become active players in the European Research Area (ERA) and enhances their role as drivers of economic and technological development.
