A very engaging and interesting event “Roundtable with Alumni” took place at the Gallery of the Faculty of Arts on 7th December, 2024.This event was a roundtable panel discussion in which current students were able to interact with alumni and to ask some questions regarding their academic and career experiences. The panelists shared their perspectives, providing current students with valuable insights into how their time at the Faculty of Arts affected their careers and personal development.

During the discussion, alumni reflected on their academic years, emphasizing the knowledge and skills gained and how it all helped shape their career trajectories. They described their present careers and vocations, providing students with valuable firsthand knowledge of many career options. Furthermore, they provided useful advice on how to choose a career, further education, and where to find inspiration in work.

This was one of the activities planned in the AL4LIFE Project activities, which also included the presentation of a newly launched networking platform for alumni, and which aims to tighten ties between former and current students, prompting collaboration, mentorship, and professional development. Both alumni and students were invited to join the platform to continue their discussions, build valuable connections, and stay engaged with the wider Faculty of Arts and UPKM community.

In general, “Roundtable with Alumni” was a successful event that gave students useful knowledge and advice for their future jobs. The interactive style format encouraged open dialogue and strengthened the bond between alumni and current students, setting up a way to foundation for continued engagement and support within the Faculty of Arts and UPKM network.
